Limerick Animal Welfare
Happy Dog Sunday
Sunday 17th May 2009

It was smiles all round at the Limerick Animal Welfare annual doggie day out in the People’s Park in Limerick. The day was a great success despite heavy showers! We donate food to Limerick Animal Welfare so we got loads of positive feedback from the volunteers about the health of the animals in the sanctuary. Competition winners were also delighted with their Burns prizes. Thanks to the Limerick Animal Welfare volunteers for all their hard work in organising the day.  Aisling of LAW has posted loads of great photos on their Flickr site (accessible through www.limerickanimalwelfare.com)

This is a photo of Rachel Clayton and Frostie, a Japanese Spitz, who won first prize in the Best Groomed category.

Leanne Vallely with flamenco dancer Mollie who won first prize in the 'Best Fancy Dress' competition. The competition was judged by Willie O'Dea, Minister for Defense.

Is this you?

We love this photo but we don't know who you are! Get in touch with us and we'll send you a prize.

We have three winners of our Spring 2008 photo competition...

We love this cute photo of Tipp, by Glenda Hayde in Dublin. Tipp has enjoyed Burns for the past three years, including her favourite Kelties. Her name comes from the fact that she was found straying in Tipperary.

Congratulations to Tipp and Glenda!!

Congratulations to the Ferriter family in Limerick for their photo of beautiful Coco.

"...As to the reason for her infectious liveliness,  the healthy sheen on  her coat and the way her eyes sparkle with intelligence and doggie wisdom, we all agree  -  that’ll be the Burns!"  Tadhg Ferriter

Well done to Ed MacMahon of Limerick for this photo of Jack. When Jack's out for a walk with his ball, nothing else matters!
